~ Wire worked with hand tools and determination ~ Most things are sterling silver. There is some copper, some beach glass. Not to mention many hours of my life.
These are just a few samples of the beach glass earrings that I make.
I have been doing them for a while now and these actual items have been sold. I'm happy to make jewellery for people from their own beach glass as well.

While living in Toronto I took classes at George Brown College and really liked the solderless wirework course. That was 2001. The name "virtually blind" comes from an assessment during a physical for a job with the local electric utility in Toronto. That evaluation made it very easy to impress my new bosses. I stayed 11 yrs., in various capacities. Then I cheerfully accepted an “exit package” and came home to Nova Scotia. Now I am a member of the Metal Arts Guild of Nova Scotia. I am legally blind, and just to keep it interesting, see no colour at all. My favourite colour is shiny. I can usually be found on Saturday mornings bending wire and flogging my wares at the Halifax Farmer’s Market.

Oh, I really like your style of wire wrap. And...I don't really like drilling either, but actually have only ever broken one small piece while drilling. I think I was just pushing too hard, not paying attention. Generally I prefer to wrap. And since some pieces are so hard to wrap, it really makes you learn all sorts of way to do it, I hope to learn many more yet!
I think the nice thing about drilling is that it showcases the glass, rather than the wire, if that makes sense, so is a nice break in design once in a while.
